Primary amyloid myelopathy presents as a seldom seen neurological disorder characterized by the accumulation of amyloid proteins in the spinal cord. This deteriorating condition typically manifests with progressive paresthesia in the limbs, often accompanied by spasticity. In this case report, we present a patient with primary amyloid myelopathy who presented featuring an unusual clinical presentation.

The subject's initial symptoms included severe weakness in the upper extremities, along and bladder dysfunction. Analysis of cerebrospinal fluid revealed elevated protein levels consistent with amyloid deposits. Brain imaging demonstrated characteristic lesions in the spinal cord consistent with primary amyloid myelopathy.

The patient was treated supportive care, including physical therapy and medications to manage symptoms. However treatment, the patient's condition deteriorated significantly. This case highlights the importance of considering primary amyloid myelopathy in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with progressive neurological symptoms, particularly those with unilateral weakness.

An Uncommon Presentation of Crohn's Disease: A Case Report

We describe a rare case of Crohn's disease in a 42-year-old female presenting with novel symptoms. The patient initially complained symptoms of fatigue, which were misdiagnosed as a common gastrointestinalcondition. Further investigation revealed inflammatory bowel disease. The patient received standard treatment for Crohn's disease, including steroids. The outcome to treatment was successful.

This case illustrates the necessity of a comprehensive assessment in patients with suspected Crohn's disease, as its presentation can be varied.

Presentation

A male/female patient presented to the clinic with a chief complaint/history of symptoms/presenting concern of progressive shortness of breath, cough/dyspnea/respiratory distress. The patient reported a gradual/sudden/insidious onset of symptoms/complaints/manifestations, worsening over the past few months/year/decade. On physical examination, auscultation/palpation/inspection revealed decreased breath sounds in the lower/upper/bilateral lung fields.

Further/Additional/Supplementary investigations included a chest X-ray which demonstrated diffuse/patchy/interstitial opacities consistent with pulmonary fibrosis. A high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan of the chest confirmed the diagnosis, revealing honeycombing/fibrotic bands/reticular opacities.

The patient underwent further tests/evaluation/assessments to rule out other potential causes/contributing factors/underlying conditions of pulmonary fibrosis.
